Seattle and the Surrounding AreaWe are situated on a tree-lined street on Capitol Hill in one of Seattle’s most desirable neighborhoods. Take a walking tour of the neighborhood mansions, and stroll Volunteer Park, home of the Seattle Asian Art Museum . Interesting shops and restaurants are nearby, and the bus to downtown stops on the next block. With Seattle’s excellent transit system a car isn’t necessary, but parking is readily available and free. Seattle is an attractive and convenient base for exploring Western Washington’s bounty of attractions, with a full-menu of attractions - a revitalized waterfront, a smorgasbord of museums, the Space Needle, and Safeco Field. From downtown a short walk can reach most attractions, or take the trolley, bus or taxi. Only a ferry ride away is Bainbridge Island and Kitsap County where you can fill a day with distinct, diverse activities. An hour and a half from Seattle are the treasures of the North Olympic Peninsula, including Olympic National Park, the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend, and the lavender fields of Sequim.
